Avengers, assemble: OPPO Reno5 Marvel Edition is coming to the Philippines!

A treat to Marvel fans! OPPO Philippines announced that the OPPO Reno5 Marvel Edition will be available in the country soon.

OPPO Reno5 Marvel Edition is coming to the Philippines!

This is the custom OPPO Reno5 that draws inspiration from the Quantum Suits worn by The Avengers in the movie Avengers: Endgame.

It features a combination of black, gray, silver, and red colorway with the phone’s back casing having an “A” logo that symbolizes the Avengers logo and Captain America’s shield.

The back of the phone is also designed around the letter “X” inspired from the logo of Black Widow and its textured finish creates a unique feel to the phone reminiscent of the high-tech suits worn by The Avengers.

Meanwhile, its silver sides are said to be created using an electroplating process showing a black stripe in the middle revealed through laser-etching. There is a red embellishment around the button that adds a further touch of Marvel inspiration as well.

Apart from its Marvel-inspired exterior, the device also has that Avengers feel inside. It has a home screen background design based on Avengers Quantum Suits while the icons of the original OPPO apps on the home screen have been replaced with icons depicting various heroes or items in the Marvel Universe.

OPPO also added six different exclusive lock screen wallpapers for Marvel fans. There is a  book-style animation inspired by the opening scenes of the Marvel movies that can also be shown when users are choosing different wallpapers as well.

When opening the phone an Avengers logo will appear as the start-up animation. While charging the phone, status is shown using an animation of the light rings on Iron Man’s Head Up Display (HUD).

Completing its Marvel customization, the OPPO Reno5 Marvel Edition will also get the Avengers-inspired earphones, SIM card extractor pin, charger, and charge cable. There is also a special case with Marvel style of a red background printed with the original six Marvel Avengers. This case uses TPU material to ensure durability while remaining light, the case has been crafted using IML (In-Molding Labeling) processing, with the Marvel Super Heroes painted inside the case and the Marvel logo outside, to create a 3D, textured effect.

OPPO hasn’t announced its price and availability yet, but the company noted that this handset will be officially announced in the coming weeks.
