Bikram Yoga Alabang to hold free Bikram yoga for a cause
In celebration of Bikram Yoga Alabang’s second anniversary this October, the studio will host the country’s first free Bikram yoga for a cause entitled “BYA Shares the Love.” The special event will take place October 20 at Molito in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, for the benefit of Ayala Alabang Hospice Care Foundation, Inc.
Interested participants are encouraged to bring infant cereal, canned goods, instant noodles and bottled water to support the needs of patients under the care of the Ayala Alabang Hospice Care Foundation, Inc. The foundation offers free hospice and palliative care for terminally-ill patients in the cities of Muntinlupa, Las Piñas and Parañaque.
“This event is a great venue to share our blessings and let others also make an impact for others. We’re not just celebrating our second anniversary, we’re celebrating life itself,” said Ginger Diaz, BYA studio director.
Bikram yoga is composed of 26 postures and two breathing exercises performed in a heated room. The exercise runs for 90 minutes and its benefits include improved body strength, flexibility and concentration. It also helps reduce stress.
To participate, simply pre-register at BYA’s Facebook page. Participants need to bring a yoga mat, towel and water. The postures will require plenty of stretching so they are advised to be in comfortable clothes. Children and the elderly can join as well.
“BYA Shares the Love” is co-presented by Molito, in partnership with Insular Life and Lightwater and supported by Certified Calm, Pond’s, Urban Luxe and Vaseline. The event is among the exciting activities of BYA on its second sizzling year.
