Manila, Philippines—TELUS International Philippines (TIP) welcomed the Ambassador of Canada to the Philippines Christopher Thornley and the Canadian Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Deepak Obhrai during their visit at the TELUS-Gawad Kalinga (GK) Village 1 in Pook Masagana, Tandang Sora, Quezon City.

The guests were welcomed by the children of the GK community through song and dance presentations at the village’s community center. Officials from the Embassy of Canada were also given a tour of the site and had the chance to meet with village residents.

TELUS-GK Village 1 is a community development project of TIP in partnership with Gawad Kalinga (GK). TIP, a top call center and outsourcing services provider, has a long-term partnership with GK, a non-profit organization that aims to alleviate poverty by providing underprivileged citizens with shelter and livelihood projects.
