Leading US software-as-a-service company engages DTSI group
(Manila, Philippines, March 02, 2012) – DTSI Group announced that Concur (NASDAQ: CNQR), a leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) company providing travel and expense management solutions, engaged the company to assist Concur in establishing its Asian operations center in the Philippines.
Designed by DTSI Group subsidiaries DTSI and Anthem, the Concur office is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and systems to enable its employees to configure and implement its innovative service for Concur clients. With custom-designed technology infrastructure that ensures efficiency and reliability, Concur is confident of its capability to deliver its services to clients worldwide without interruption.
In an interview at their recently constructed office, Concur executives discussed the benefits of the partnership, making special mention of DTSI Group’s collaborative approach to facilitating Concur’s investment in the Philippines.
DTSI Group president and CEO “Miguel Garcia successfully gave us an introduction to the Philippines as a country, providing a level of comfort to establish operations here and do so very rapidly,” said Dan Milgrom, Concur’s Director of Global Audit Services.
According to Concur Vice President of services, Adam Joseph, the DTSI Group impressed the company with its attention to the company’s unique requirements as a SaaS provider, as well as their history in the Philippine technology industry. “Miguel quickly understood our needs and shared how they could be effectively met in the Philippines. His in-depth of knowledge and credibility combined with DTSI’s experience convinced us to engage DTSI and to develop a world-class facility in the heart of Metro Manila,” Joseph said.
DTSI’s build-to-suit investment model –which provides fast implementation coupled with low capital outlay–was closely aligned to the operational and financial requirements of Concur, according to Milgrom. “The challenge of doing business in the Philippines is that there are so many global companies investing here. So we knew we would be competing for space and resources,” said the Concur executive. “But DTSI Group delivered a smooth, seamless experience.”
According to the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP), the country is the third largest IT-BPO destination in the world after India and China, and the industry is expected to grow approximately 20% in headcount annually over the next five years, driving growth in the property market, particularly the commercial sector. Last year, the industry expanded 24% to more than P11 billion in revenue. Employment increased 22% to 640,000.
