Morphlabs Raises $5 Million in Series C Financing

Leader in Converged Dynamic Infrastructure Solutions for the Enterprise Raises Funds to Accelerate Global Growth and Deployments

Manhattan Beach, Calif. – September 6, 2011 – Morphlabs, the leader in converged Dynamic Infrastructure solutions for the Enterprise, announced today that it has raised $5 million in Series C funding. The round was led by strategic partners BBT of Japan and a private, Indoneseia-based investor group. Morphlabs will use the additional capital to fuel immediate deployments in the ASEAN region as well as select deployments in North America, like the recently announced Alchemy Communications operating partnership.

The ASEAN region requires an end-to-end solution for cloud infrastructure delivery that can be deployed efficiently and adapts to rapid growth requirements. After carefully evaluating the players in the cloud computing space, Morphlabs is making an impact by enabling enterprise customers, for the first time, to consume dynamic cloud infrastructure via a blueprint that is fully-optimized and designed to be both fault-tolerant and scalable. The mCloud DCU solution allows enterprises to control their cloud infrastructure with no capital expenditure, making cloud available to rapidly developing IT markets. Morphlabs is clearly positioned to become a leader in the cloud computing industry.

Since receiving a Series B round of financing in July 2010, Morphlabs has grown from 25 to 50 employees and has expanded its reach throughout the United States and Asia. In May 2011, Morphlabs announced a partnership with Arista Networks, BroadBand Tower Inc., CoreSite Realty Corporation (NYSE: COR) and Nexenta Systems, among others, to deliver its mCloud Data Center Unit (DCU).

The mCloud DCU is designed to remove the complexities of implementing the most price performant cloud solution on the market, taking an infrastructure blueprint bound together by mCloud technology with best-of-breed cloud building blocks to deliver mission critical capabilities via on-premises or hosted private cloud. Morphlabs leverages commodity hardware and open source innovations to define the most simple, efficient, and elegant blueprint available today for the delivery of converged dynamic infrastructure services.

“Over the past year, Morphlabs has forged strategic partnerships to innovate, build and push the boundaries of the cloud in order to democratize access to enterprise-class efficient computing for IT organizations,” said Winston Damarillo, CEO, Morphlabs. “We’re thrilled to use this round of funding to grow our team and to deliver highly-available cloud environments for enterprises that might not otherwise be able to benefit from the cloud because of the challenges associated with existing public and private cloud deployment options.”

Morphlabs anticipates additional funding announcements before the end of the year to further fuel its ASEAN and European expansion.
