TeamAsia wins 2 WebAwards

(Manila, Philippines, September 26, 2011) — Strategic marketing communications agency TeamAsia received two WebAwards in the Web Marketing Association’s 2011 competition. More than 2,000 entries from 45 countries were evaluated in 96 industry categories.

The agency received two Standards of Excellence awards this year, the third year the company has been recognized with WebAwards. In the Events category, TeamAsia won for the League of Corporate Foundations’ CSR Expo 2011 event website (www.lcf.org.ph/csrexpo2011). TeamAsia was engaged by the foundation to manage its annual exposition and conference, and developed a purpose-built website to promote the event.

The Expo website received scores above the category and WebAward averages for five criteria: innovation, content, interactivity, copywriting, and ease of use. The foundation also engaged TeamAsia to build the organization’s principal website (www.lcf.org.ph).

TeamAsia’s own website—redesigned earlier this year—was recognized in the Marketing category. The website (www.teamasia.com) was refreshed to increase the visibility of the agency’s increasingly wide range of services, which include events, public relations, creative design, editorial, online and social marketing, web development, and other digital services.

According to managing director Michael Alan Hamlin, the revamped site has significantly enhanced the agency’s visibility to prospective clients. “We’re delighted that the redesigned website has worked so well for us,” Hamlin said, “and it is especially encouraging to receive this international recognition that shows we practice what we preach to our clients by building a distinctive, relevant web presence that contributes to visibility and recall.”

The TeamAsia website received high marks in three categories: content, technology, and interactivity. It ranked significantly above the category and WebAward averages in technology.

The agency describes itself as an “award-winning strategic marketing communications firm that develops place, corporate, and personal brand strategies, creative concepts, and marketing communications program incorporating events, public relations, and Web 2.0 tools for its clients.” Its portfolio includes admired global brands as well as local Philippine and other regional brands. The agency provides its services to both B2C and B2B companies and organizations.

TeamAsia was founded in 1992 in Hong Kong by former regional publishing executive Monette Iturralde-Hamlin. She is now president and chairman of the agency. Michael Alan Hamlin is also the author of five books and a columnist and commentator for Philippine and international publications.
