Challenge

The information technology and business process management (IT-BPM) sector of the Philippines is called the “sunshine industry” for a very good reason. Since 2010, the sector has grown at an exponential rate as more and more foreign companies invest in the country. Instrumental to this success is the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), which has been supporting the industry in terms of workforce development, innovation, and country visibility for 13 years now.

With the rapidly-evolving digital environment, IBPAP has taken on the challenge of accelerating the growth of the Philippine IT-BPM industry to keep up with the changing demands of the market.

Game Plan

Since its inception, IBPAP has developed three roadmaps which have helped in aligning local and global stakeholders on industry trends, developments, and plans. Through the launch of the Accelerate PH: Roadmap 2022 at the 8th International IT-BPM Summit (IIS), IBPAP sought to onboard the local industry and the nation as a whole in its goal of equipping the country to be future-ready by expanding the breadth and depth of industry employment, revenue, and global participation.

As a staunch partner and organizer of the annual IIS for the past seven years since its inception, TeamAsia was tapped by IBPAP to launch a five-month integrated marketing communication campaign which included pre-event marketing, turnkey event management, and post-event management. To spark public discussion on summit and the roadmap launch, TeamAsia focused their communication efforts on establishing the relevance of the industry to the country as one of the major growth drivers of the economy.
