Zomato Restaurant Summit announces speakers’ lineup
Zomato Philippines taps some of the country’s best restaurateurs and industry experts to share their knowledge, insights, expertise, and best practices for the Zomato Restaurant Summit 2015, the first-ever restaurant summit in the country.
The summit, entitled “Conquering the Digital Age,” will feature interesting topics on how restaurants can thrive in the digital age. To be held this May 19 at the Makati Shangri-la Hotel in Makati City, the Zomato Restaurant Summit 2015 will be a great venue for restaurateurs to learn how they can take their businesses to the next level, and answer the ever changing needs of consumers.
According to Anton Ojeda, Zomato Philippines country manager and one of the summit’s featured speakers, “More and more Filipinos are using the Internet in unprecedented ways. They turn to the Internet to get restaurant recommendations from their friends, families, or even other foodies. With the summit, we at Zomato aim to discuss how the restaurant industry can satisfy a much more critical audience. We will do this by gathering restaurant owners, senior marketing professionals, venture capitalists, and industry visionaries to share their novel ideas, viral strategies, and unconventional techniques to bring more Filipinos to their tables.”
During the whole day event, delegates will learn from the industry’s best as they talk about their experiences growing their businesses to its current scale, and how they have adapted to technology. Margaritas Torres, vice president for marketing of Golden Arches Development Corporation, will share how her organization has built and sustains brand love in the advent of social media. To talk about restaurant investment opportunities in the country, The Moment Group founding partner Abba Napa will be among the panel of speakers for the topic, along with other successful investors.
Meanwhile, Ojeda will be joined by industry experts will discuss how to maximize technology in operating businesses. Bea Lim, managing director of integrated marketing communication agency TeamAsia, will moderate a session on keeping businesses sustainable, with Fil Benitez, marketing director of Mario’s, who will sit in the panel together with three speakers.
The summit will also feature a session on how to entice generation Y and win their loyalty with blogger and author Richie Zamora and a couple of others. To discuss food tourism, restaurateur Claude Tayag will sit with food blogger Anton Diaz at the panel to discuss how to promote Filipino food globally. And to talk about the evolution of Filipino restaurants, Chef Sau del Rosario, owner of Food Garage, and Philippine Daily Inquirer (PDI) columnist and Nana Meng Tsokolate’s Margaux Salcedo will be there to share their insights.
